Circa 1920-30s Silk Meisen Ikat Flat Woven Haori Jacket: Pink & Red Roses and White leaves on Green Background
This kimono is good example of 1920's -1930's Japanese haori jacket. The pattern is very Japanese Art Deco. The material Meisen ikat was very popular textile in Japan in 20-30's but this textile was hardly produced after the WW2 because the machines were discontinued until recently. Meisen fabric is thin and lightweight, and have distinctive silk texture, a little similar to Thai silk.
Hand made, hand sewn in Japan.
Period: circa 1920-30s
Material: Silk Meisen(銘仙) ikat woven, lining is chrysanthemum jacquard silk
Pattern: big pink & red roses and white leaves on green background

Shoulder: 65 cm / 25.5 inches
Pit to pit: 61.5 cm / 24.21 inches
Length: 85 cm / 33.46 inches
Sleeve width: 32 cm / 12.6 inches
Sleeve length: 44 cm / 17.32 inches
Please note:
All measurements are taken from the back when the kimono is placed on a flat surface.
The measurements are approximate.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition. There are some faint marks on the lining but it is not noticeable while wearing. Except that, I don't find any other major stains, damages or faults. I try to describe the kimono as accurate as possible.

kimonos are box-shape. it will fit many sizes.
