Circa 1950s Vintage Silk Urushi Metallic Jacquard Michiyuki Jacket/Coat: Black x Gold lame with Cloud Pattern
Michiyuki is a square-neck kimono coat which is worn over long kimono. Most michiyuki coats have a hidden pocket in the front (and this has it) , and it can be worn in stead of Haori Jacket. This elegant michiyuki is made of soft lightweight silk metallic jacquard woven fabric which motif is infinity golden clouds trimmed by lovely peppermint blue/green dots.
It is originally worn over kimono, but some of my Western customers wear michiyuki as a jacket, or even as a mini dress (when the front snap fasteners are all fasten). The inside fabric is also silk, faded dyed (bokashi-zome), you can show off the lovely pattern from the back of the sleeve.
The metallic jacquard fabric is woven with silk and urushi plant extract. Urushi is also called Japanese lacquar tree (natural resin) which is used for Japanese wooden lacquarware. Then urushi woven silk has distinctive metallic and luxury texture. But it is still lightweight.

All measurements are taken from the back when the kimono is placed on a flat surface.

Condition:
Great vintage condition.
There are light marks on lining, and may be mild sign of age, however I don't find other major stains, damages or fault. I try to describe the kimono as accurate as possible.

kimonos are box-shape. it will fit many sizes.
